Tesco have built a supermarket and other buildings on a flood plain in Seaton on the Jurassic Coast. This is a very ambitious operation with all sorts of potential hazards. Tescowatch Seaton is a group of local people formed to monitor this operation and make a fuss if anything is messed up or missed out.
James, you obviously have a better view of the site than I do, as I am over 1/2 miles away. Having said that, the lighting scheme approved by EDDC appears to send as much light in my direction as on to the site works.
My only observation from this distance is that the sand/gravel mix being dug out of the lagoon is much wetter than even I had expected. Does this therefore constitute contamination of the site, as it is filled with seawater. I have a feeling that this will have an impact on the extensive landscaping plan which includes many trees on the boundary.
