Tesco have built a supermarket and other buildings on a flood plain in Seaton on the Jurassic Coast. This is a very ambitious operation with all sorts of potential hazards. Tescowatch Seaton is a group of local people formed to monitor this operation and make a fuss if anything is messed up or missed out.

New set of conditions
Stephen Belli of EDDC has written to the Tesco agents setting out detailed requirements for the infill process. This needs to be considered, together with our own list.
If Tesco can get through the robust and detailed conditions imposed on site infilling and development, then Seaton will have an excellent commercial and community development that can provide precisely the kickstart to our ailing town that has been needed for decades.
Many will disagree with this comment from Tesco's publicity department. Nevertheless, this blog should not be going over old ground: let us concentrate on watching Tesco, not justifying it.
