  1. Also worthy of note are proposed dates for road closures in Harbour Road. It is proposed to erect the pipeline bridge during February half term break and to remove the pipeline bridge during Easter week. e.g. Between February 14th and February 27th and between April 11th and April 24th. This is normally a busy period for us with children on holiday from school and families coming into the town for short breaks. If Harbour Road is closed and notices with dates on the A3052 at Bosshill Cross are displayed, visitors will probably divert to Lyme Regis or Sidmouth. Road closures at this time will surely affect the tourist trade for Seaton.

  2. We have no tourist trade! Visitors already divert to Lyme or Sidmouth. We have a giant building site in the centre of Seaton. Whatever would have got built there would have involved major construction and disruption. Tesco is coming, bringing with it, much needed jobs and the further development of harbour rd. Why waste energy on finding fault with everything that is going on. Get over it!
You don,t want Tesco..Fine...Don't ever use it!
That is the very best protest you can make, but don't choose for everybody else!
