The Pipeline has arrived

  1. What are the environmental costs to this massive operation? This is after all an Eco Store. It seems to me that it will take decades for the passive ventilation and natural/controlled lighting to recover the cost of filling the site. It must be well over 1 million tonnes of water and gravel, and then there is the digging of the holes and the transport of the pipeline. Perhaps better than 15,000 dump trucks but that is not saying much.

    Still I suppose that won't figure when they see the mini turbine on the roof and the Building Research Establishment’s (BRE) Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating comes in as Very Good!!

    Choose your criteria correctly and you really can make a sows ear into a silk purse.
